Precision Pressure Control Provides the Stability High Stakes DNA Mapping Demands

The challenge: DNA mapping systems require ultra-stable and repeatable fluid flow, but were compromised by general-purpose pressure controllers that lacked the necessary precision.

The solution: Clippard's Cordis CPC electronic pressure controllers use a closed-loop system to deliver extremely fine, stable control within thousandths of a psi.

The result: The system gained smooth, predictable, and repeatable fluid flow, allowing engineers to eliminate compensating hardware and focus on reliable scientific output.

Gas Chromatography

Leak Testing

The challenge: Manufacturers of differential pressure decay leak testers need to automate operation and achieve faster, higher resolution, and more repeatable leak rate results.

The solution: Clippard's low-leak GV and MAV valves and its Cordis Electronic Pressure Regulator automate fast cycling and isolate pressure for high-resolution leak testing.

The result: These solutions optimize device speed and improves test quality, delivering automated, faster, and more repeatable, high-resolution leak rate measurements.

Precision Control for Liquid Extraction Applications

The challenge: An OEM needed to reliably select between multiple solvents for vacuum distillation, requiring a low-leak solution with full media compatibility that could replace a cumbersome three-valve setup.

The solution: Clippard's NIV Series PTFE valves and custom PTFE manifolds provided inert and precise sealing, handling flows from 50 kPa vacuum to 30 psig.

The result: The solution simplified the system, replacing three valves per line with one, and minimized the size and overall cost for the customer while ensuring low-leak performance.
